Tips to get you noticed.
Tips for getting sponsors to take notice.
1. One of the most crucial ways to get noticed by local and main stream sponsors is, (as Ryan Magin.com says) have an internet presence. The internet is one of the best ways to get your name out in the public eye. Things such as having a myspace, facebook, twitter, a personal blog, footage of yourself on youtube. These all play a major part in getting yourself noticed.
2. Have a solid resume. I cannot stress this point enough. Put together a resume with all of your personal info, races finishes, achievements, ect. One of the major topics you need to include is why you would make a good fit for their company. Treat this resume as if you were going to apply for your dream job.
3. Know how to represent yourself. Proper etiquette is a key factor in getting sponsors interested in you. Know how to speak to a company employee. Always have a good attitude and let them know that it would be an honor to carry their company logo.
4. One of the newest hottest ways to get yourself noticed is athlete marketing films aka sponsor me films. You or someone you know can film your races and/or practice sessions and then have a company, such as 304 film/marketing productions produce a high quality professional film for you to disperse to your possible sponsors (local or major). 304 F&M productions can produce as many copies as you wish and also provide you with an internet link which would also contain your marketing film. There really isn’t a better way for your possible sponsors to see what you are made of than to actually see you in action and with 304 F&M Productions we can make that a reality.
